3.7.2.2 Beam Displacements

To examine how displacements vary along the length of a beam, use the "Beam Displacements" component (refer to Fig. 3.7.2.2.1). This component outputs a data tree of displacements along the beam’s axis, consisting of three translation and rotation components in the local element coordinate system for each section and load case. The input plugs "Beams|Ids," "LCase," and "ts" function similarly to those of the "Beam Forces" component (see Section 3.7.10).
The output's second paths index from the left corresponds to the element-index, after that comes the index of the ts-value. In fig. 3.7.2.2.1 the outermost branch of results contains the translations and rotations that accompany the minimum and maximum translations in Z-direction.
The "LCInd" output represents the load-case index within the current load-case combination of the translations and rotations output.
